Go Green at
the Chedham’s Yard Big Draw Challenge!
Saturday 9th October, 2010,
12.00pm - 4.00pm
Chedham’s Yard in Wellesbourne,
a historic
blacksmith’s and wheelwright’s workshop,
is celebrating this year’s national Big Draw initiative with a free
special event on Saturday 9th October by getting involved
in all things green. The eco-friendly project is hosting a family
event to get people involved in being creative and having fun while
still looking after the environment.
The
main attraction of the day will be an attempt to make a huge collage
of a photograph our workshops from many small pieces of art – but
this art will be made by you and your family! Will you accept the
challenge?
The
free drop in event will be held at the Methodist Hall, Bridge
Street, Wellesbourne from 12-4pm where families can also get green
fingered with a plant pot decorating and bulb planting session, they
can them take them home and wait for them to sprout in the spring.
There will also be badge making, recycling sculptures and other
arty goings on!
Heritage Project Officer, Emma Banks said “There will be lots for
people to do at the event. I am really excited to see what the final
picture will look like and I am sure that people will have lots of
fun making their recycled piece of art!”
